A-peel for Banana!

Hi, my name is Banana. Yes, it’s a silly name but it fits me because I’m a silly 11-week-old golden retriever puppy. If you know us goldens, we’re very happy and active dogs. I have a sad story but I’m not going to let that stop the rest of my life from being filled with happiness. I had a condition that made eating no fun. I would vomit every time I ate because of something called a diaphragmatic hernia. The vet at MCASAC said that it’s a congenital issue (inherited from one of my parents) which causes my intestines and other abdominal organs to move into my chest. That’s what causes the vomiting, and may also cause diarrhea, anorexia, and trouble breathing. I didn’t want to live my whole life like this, so Montgomery County Animal Services & Adoption Center asked MCPAW if they would pay for surgery to correct this problem. And, of course, MCPAW said yes! Will you help MCPAW by donating to their Veterinary Medical Fund? My surgery cost nearly $3,000 and MCPAW has already paid my bill. I am recovering nicely in a great foster home! Thanks for helping me and the other pets at MCASAC! http://www.mcpaw.org/take-action-1/
